From seeds planted in the ancient foothills of South Dakota, to the clothes spun along the California coast, every fiber of your tee shirt has a story.
And if you don’t own a Thom Jordan tee shirt, it’s probably because you haven’t heard this story yet.
I was growing hemp on our indigenous reservation with my uncles, and one day as I was registering for a yoga class, I gave the instructor my name.
She's like, “Thom Jordan… isn’t that a famous clothing brand?” and I said, “No I don't think so. I never heard of it.”
But then later on, I was meeting with a friend to talk about her clothing brand and I must've told her the story. And she LOVED it. She told her husband about it and she said he “got chills.”
So I decided to go for it. I started finding hemp suppliers for fabric and seed.
And within a short while I ordered some fabric and started getting some pieces together.
Your tee shirt was actually created from Hemp grown on an indigenous reservation and the seed we cultivated into fibers that created the fabric itself.
Connections and friends brought everything together from patterns to artwork.
We even went to Africa and got some epic shots of the clothing there. That ignited everything.
Before you know it, the website was built, the clothing was listed, and the marketing team assembled.
And I’m proud of what we built. Because if you own a Thom Jordan shirt, you know they’re a sturdy piece of clothing.
Hemp is a very renewable resource. It is the “top carbon sequestration plant.”
Everyone used to be required to grow Hemp to create uniforms and durable ropes.
It's a great substance because of its antibacterial properties and still provides a soft, comfortable experience.
And it’s all grown on our reservations, with crops that are indigenous to the land.
We believe your clothing tells a story, and the story of Thom Jordan extends to you through our shirts.
When you wear Thom Jordan, you wear a piece of history and a piece of the future simultaneously.
We are honored to continue bringing together quality and durability that honor the earth.
